Catalog Course Description
First-order differential equations and solution methods. Direction fields, qualitative methods, numerical approximations. Higher-order linear differential equations. Linear ayatems. Nonlinear systems, asymptotic behaviour of solutions. Laplace transform.
Learning Outcomes:
| 1. | Upon the completion of this course, students will be able to: Apply mathematical modelling in areas such as physics, engineering, biology or economics. |

| 2. | Solve first-order separable and linear differential equations. |
| 3. | Find the fundamental solution and the general solution of certain second order linear differential equations. |
| 4. | Use the Laplace transform method to solve linear ordinary differential equations. |
| 5. | Find the particular solution to a nonhomogeneous linear system of ordinary differential equations. |
| 6. | Solve higher-order certain linear differential equations and systems of differential equations. |
Course Objective
Students who completed this course are expected to know mainly the concepts ordinary differential equations, their solution methods, and their applications in modeling and simulating engineering systems.
